Mike
is founder and principal consultant of pmMaturity,
a firm formed to significantly improve cost, schedule, and scope project
performance through collaborative client relationships. In his role,
Mike is responsible for the planning and execution of major strategic
initiatives and manages all aspects of operations. Mike is the architect
of projectAudIT ©, the first module in the projectFrameIT© system,
which will enable organizations to identify process strengths and weaknesses
and apply the techniques of continuous improvement and process maturity
to their project activities.
Prior to founding pmMaturity,
Mike was vice president of project management at Robert W.
Baird, Inc., a major regional brokerage firm, where he introduced
the disciplines of program and project management, and established
a project management office. Before Baird, he consulted at
several Fortune 1000 organizations in various capacities. He’s
participated in Capability Maturity Model (CMM) and maturity
model audits. During 1999, Mike was involved in a “dot.com” startup
where he gained valuable management and technology industry
experience during a time of rapid growth.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from
the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. He received his
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the
Project Management Institute in 1999. He has served in several
leadership roles in PMI’s Milwaukee Chapter – Certification
Committee Chair in 2001, Vice President – Finance in
2002, President in 2003, and heads the Information System Specific
Interest Group (ISSIG). He is also a licensed stock broker
and holds the Series 7 and 63 licenses.
